We live in
a world where everything can change in a minute, we need to be prepared for the
worst. In an emergency, the need of isolation of a city is probable. This city
is based on this principle, giving the city the opportunity to separate from
the rest if needed, but without destroying the principals of what makes a city
great. The mechanism of the lifting of the city will be made with the use of
the heat of the desert in Dubai, we know hot air rises, and that heat is
energy, helping us in this way lift the city, also using the sun to provide
energy to the city. Its time to change the way we are making cities; times are
changing and we need to act fast.

Your video has a clear concept and shows in the end a possible way how your intention could be implimented! It would have been nice to see how dubai would benifit from this in you model as well.

ResponderEliminarThe video clearly explains the project and it is very relevant to the uncertain times we are experiencing now. I really like how the model not only shows the physical space but how it shows the movement if the structure rising. It would have been really good if you could have incorporated some experiments with heat and how it rises, but overall a really good video!
