  1. Very simple and powerful technique, Catherine! Definitely nowadays questions can be deeper than direct answers. Still, as part of the design process, it is important to make use of every exercise to advance in your project.
    In your case, for example, the use of the vocabulary and its possible transformation into positive qualities of the city: noise/sound, the smell can be nice, the same with the speed, to have moments of rest, and of course people, culture… even many could say skyscraper to save land for gardens.

    1. Thank you. The next step is to address these issues by thinking about how to use them for good. From this exercise I have realised the great impact cars play on shaping our cities. Public transportation is an option but I would like to look at how to change the city to cope with the car, or the car to change the city in a positive way. I like the idea of using skyscrapes to free the ground for gardens etc.. Dubai is a very isolated city due to the surrounding environment. By creating a ring of skyscrapes with gardens in the middle a new sheltered microclimate could be created.
