Public transportation is an option but I would like to look at how to change the city to cope with the car, or the car to change the city in a positive way. I like the idea of using skyscrapes to free the ground for gardens etc.. Dubai is a very isolated city due to the surrounding environment. By creating a ring of skyscrapes with gardens in the middle a new sheltered microclimate could be created.
