DESTROYING ISOLATION/ BUILDING KNOWLEDGE. THE RESTART CITY

The life of mosquito lasts a few days. A life in Dubai lasts half of the year.

A mosquito can access most of the contracted spaces of the city. A person in the city can access less then a 1% of constructed area, in Dubai your access is limited to your home, car, office, during the hottest days no street life at all.

What recipe we can use to achieve a  wish-city? How the city can tell people when they can stay and when they need to leave to avoid the isolation in their flats? How we can use the knowledge of previous generations? How a mosquito can teach us to invade the city?

What if the city exists for a limited amount of time and then disappears, giving us the necessary knowledge for further generations. What if the temperature could control the architecture in a direct way?

This is how we imagine the radical city needed in Dubai. Every-time changing  landscape disappearing with the raise of temperature and giving us a footprint of experience.

  2. The whole city idea is very interesting. I'm especially curious how you will develop the temperature aspect and how it can control the city in a direct way. :)
