Manifesto- Save the perfect city

I chose this image as I could have chosen any other image that showed the choice of citizens in this project. The work was based on the creation of a platform, in the form of video games, that would allow citizens, the protagonists of the city, to have an active role in Dubai. In Dubai very often choices are not based on what is best for citizens, especially for "weak" categories. The strongest interests in Dubai are others, which put the welfare or wishes of the people who live in the city into the background. Not only in Dubai, but in many other cities around the world, the direct interlocutors in planning are not the citizens, who are often put in the background. I believe, however, that the interests involved in Dubai are much heavier than those in other urban areas. The economic interests of large multinationals are channelled through dual channels, which have often put profit first in shaping the image of the city. I am reminded of the creation, on Simcity 3000, of a city called Magnasanti, created by a young architect Vincent Ocasla. He created a city of six million inhabitants, raising the problem of the condition of citizens in seemingly perfect and functioning cities. Are citizens really being listened to? are their demands being taken into consideration? So in my opinion, in a city like Dubai, in this city everything can be built and everything is being built, the most radical action to do is not to design a new urban installation or a new building, but to design a platform for interaction between citizens and institutions or planners. I invite you to watch this video that shows the operation of Magnasanti, which in my opinion is very interesting, as well as emblematic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjlegEk2IoQ
