Cracks city is a project with concerns at the social level, ecological, sustainability, landscape,
functional, etc.

The processes that serve as inspiration and model to the project are nature, ancient vernacular

urban typologies, the flexibility of some portable constructions, etc.

The tools that Cracks city uses to address these issues are buried constructions as a source of

resource use (humidity, shadow, ventilation); climate changes (humidity/temperature) as the

basis for architectural changes (flexibility); multifunctional spaces (media economy and

maximisation of social cohesion); the external public spaces that enable the new natural

microclimate.

The new City can coexist with the current city, replace it or appear in the middle of the desert.

It is a radical new model that bets to play for nature, not to challenge it, or to impose itself,

there lies its radicality. It's a respectful and necessary attitude. Cracks city Integrates, adapts,

is over-used by the medium and by the people.

- Who then is going to want to live in the rigid Dubai, the over grade, the standard? It doesn't make
sense.

-There's no point in turning on the air conditioning if you're not hot, even if you can afford it.

-It doesn't make sense to make large rooms to use once or no time a week, you can have
multifunctional space in which the agenda or clock mark their use and their size (the necessary one).

- There is no point in an enclosed public space with plastic plants, if you can have a nice open
public space with vegetation.
